I’m all for tender touches, slow-burning passion, and sensual sex, but sometimes I don’t want my lover to be Mr Nice Guy. Sometimes I want my man to grab me, throw me on the bed and fuck me like there’s no tomorrow. Rough sex for beginners can be daunting, but like most things in life, the more you do it, the better you get.

My first experience of rough sex was far from perfect. My partner and I were young and wet behind the ears, but we enjoyed experimenting. I remember reading an article in a magazine, something along the lines of “Fifty ways to spice up your sex life.” Number 18 jumped at me straight away – put aside the romance and flowers for a night of wild, rough sex. The short paragraph described a raunchy scene – hot sex involving manhandling, gripping, pulling and pushing, scratching and fucking with abandon. I wanted to give it a try, and I threw the mag toward my partner with a wry smile, shouting “Shag me like this.”
